Folks this getting out of hand!!!!!!!! Revisionist are perverting the True History of our country.

Robert E Lee was anti slavery, he made the statement above while a Union General in 1856. Though wealthy and a land owner, he never BOUGHT any slaves. He actually inherited MANY slaves and immediately gave them their freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I can anticipate no greater calamity for the country than the dissolution of the Union. It would be an accumulation of all the evils we complain of, and I am willing to sacrifice everything but honor for its preservation." Col. Robert E. Lee, U.S.A. in a letter to his son Custis, January 23, 1861

"With all my devotion to the Union, and the feeling of loyalty and duty of an American citizen, I have not been able to make up my mind to raise my hand against my relative, my children, my home. I have, therefore, resigned my commission in the Army..."

At this time in History, Loyalty to state and family was greater than loyalty to Union. Over 90% of Confederate soldiers nor their families owned a SINGLE SLAVE!! They fought for THEIR state!!!!!!

Abraham Lincoln was a documented "racist" "I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position." AND "Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man."

Abraham Lincoln wanted to deport all blacks to Africa, "In the language of Mr. Jefferson, uttered many years ago, "It is still in our power to direct the process of emancipation, and deportation, peaceably, and in such slow degrees, as that the evil will wear off insensibly; and in their places be, pari passu [on an equal basis], filled up by free white laborers." "If as the friends of colonization hope, the present and coming generations of our countrymen shall by any means, succeed in freeing our land from the dangerous presence of slavery; and, at the same time, in restoring a captive people to their long-lost father-land, with bright prospects for the future; and this too, so gradually, that neither races nor individuals shall have suffered by the change, it will indeed be a glorious consummation."

Abraham Lincoln offered to Guarantee slavery if southern States returned to Union, "I understand a proposed amendment to the Constitution has passed Congress, to the effect that the Federal Government shall never interfere with the domestic institutions of the States, including that of persons held to service. Holding such a provision to now be implied constitutional law, I have no objection to its being made express and irrevocable."

The Southern states REJECTED this offer, because slavery was not the purpose of the fight, it was states rights and UNFAIR taxation being burdened upon them and their way of life by the northern states and a totally different economy from the south's.

The end of slavery was the ONLY good result of the Civil War and it came at a tremendous price of American lives, BUT Slavery was a TOOL the north used against the South. The "Emancipation Proclamation" ONLY freed slaves in Rebelling states, It had NO authority at the time in those states and did NOTHING to free slaves still held in NON rebelling states. Slavery has become the defining reason 150 years after the Civil War BUT it was NOT the defining reason at the time, it was merely a small part of a much bigger problem.

What really scares me, take out slavery, but now put in the loss of Religious Freedom and so many other spelled out CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, we are AGAIN a truly DIVIDED country and now just as then, Divided we fall!!!!! This is NOT going to end well if it doesn't start getting corrected VERY soon. The Civil War saw More American Deaths than any other war EVER. Weapon technology had advanced and was a major part of those losses. Jump ahead 150 years. Look at the weapons we have NOW! Remember, the bulk of our military today are state and national guard units in EVERY state. Yes they are suppose to be loyal to the Federal Government, BUT now, just as then, there are state loyalties and many see the Federal Government as out of control. It is NOT inconceivable to see our military divide by state loyalty. IF WE DON"T STOP ALL THIS LUNACY, THIS IS GOING TO GET REALLY UGLY REALLY FAST!!!!!!!!!!! Kenny Frazier 7-1-15
